Visit to the Old Delhi Bazaar
Our tour commences at Chawri Bazaar metro station on the given time. Here we begin to explore the greatness of this historically and politically important city of India. We first visit the old lanes of Shahjahanbad the capital in 1628 of the territory of the Emperor Shah Jahan. This is the exact same place where our great Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru tied a knot. As the tour proceeds you will come across the changes underwent in this part of the city. We will also explore the taste of the street food that some people are adventurous about!
Old Delhi is the queen of all street food and has its own aura of sweet and sour Indian delicacies. Delhi is associated with the name chaat and we understand the reason here in Old Delhi. World’s best chaats are discovered, made and propagated from here. Papri, Laccha Tokri, Guliya, Desi Ghee Tikki, Moong Pakori,Kulche Chole, Dahi Bhalla, Bedwee Aloo and Kachori Alu are zestful. In the sweet dishes, kulfi fresh milk cake, hot kadai milk, halwa nagori are the traditional delicacies that are simply mouth watering. There is a sea of tasty dishes, you can dip and enjoy as much as you want.
Old Delhi is a basic version of Indian people; it is crowded with small temples and shrines of different religions at almost every corner. Cows, sacred Hindu animal are let free to wander on the street. There are many local accommodation facilities and cool water supplies in the lanes of Old Delhi.
